Three Rivers Interlocal Council (TRIC)

Three Rivers Interlocal Council (TRIC) is comprised of thirteen communities south of Boston that work to encourage cooperative action concerning growth and development within the area. Free and open exchange of information across municipal boundaries is a primary function of the group. The three rivers group takes it's name from the Neponset, the Charles, and the Canoe.

To learn more about the communities in the region, view a map of MAPC communities and subregions or obtain additional information about each community on the MetroBoston Data Common Community Snapshots page.

TRIC members create an annual work plan built around a diverse range of planning topics.

Leadership

Each community may have two appointed representatives to TRIC, however, participation from any public or private sector organizations is welcomed. The committee Chairman is elected by the membership. An MAPC staff person provides support to TRIC in the role of Subregional Coordinator.
